Yup, I had noticed too, that the tone is one of the best I ever had on my guitars

yet another happy costumer. Congrats man. I'm glad you went with the wrap around bridge, the floating one doesn't inspire me any confidence to be honest [then again I grew to loath trems]. Do they make a floating trem version? I couldn't find one.

CST24T is a solid body.
If you want a trem on the HB version, you'd have to take a Bisgby.

I've been saving up for a new HB for a while and it looks like this one is the winner I've not got a Hollow Body Guitar or one with a Tree of Life inlay for that matter... therefore I clearly need one... Clicking buy.... now

Awesome man, I'm psyched for you. You got a good one right there. Thomann is making it worth my while to keep mine. I guess I have to start allowing myself to like it now.

Changed the strings on the TOL to Ernie ball super slinkys today. The tag said they came with d'addario's but I'm suspicious. They left a lot of black residue on my fingers from playing them. It sounded okay, but now with some fresh quality strings on she's really got some bite. The hollow body adds a ton of sustain to the notes but the nickel strings with the wilkinsons brings a nice top and mid end boost.
I also setup the guitar a little better by lower the action and adjusting the bridge. Now she's lightning fast and just screams.

The intonation is ok. Not the most accurate I ever seen on my guitars, but by far enough.
And the wraparound simplifies a lot the set up because you can change slightly the eighth of the bridge without to break the intonation
You may want to change the bridge though. Imho, I felt it was colorating the sound not in a good way. But that's really not an urgent upgrade to do, because the intonation is ok, and the sustain gigantic

Well my prs SE does not intonate well on the D string. I could buy a Tonepros bridge, but it's freakin expensive. You can almost buy a guitar for the price of the bridge...

I've never had a PRS, all I can say is that intoantion is not an issue with this guitar. Really not a reason give it up

I have just got a CST24-HB and at the moment the intonation is fine. But I wondered if this bridge would be the answer to those with intonation issues? Just a thought..... Vanson Wraparound Bridge

Vanson Wraparound BridgeWow! That looks absolutely perfect. Can anyone really hear a difference with this wraparound thing? I couldn't on my Les Paul (mind you it's an Aria Pro II plus I'm no fan of humbuckers so perhaps I was the wrong person to try it!). Or is it just more comfortable under your hand, in which case all those saddles might defeat the purpose. This looks the best of both worlds to me - wraparound with P90s. Mind you, those pole piece screws look remarkably high! www.chsprogramming.com/jsmallwood062012/MyStuff/MyWebsite2/Beginner'sLessons/Maintenance/StringingAnElectric/stringinganelectric.html Quite weirdly, as soon as I posted that link, their site went down. Perhaps I've stolen the URL.
