Thanks! Caught the intheblues clip the other day and decided to check the forum out. I appreciate affordable gear but have thus far been a bit hesitant to go for a HB. I got my G&L a couple months ago, its exactly like this one . Liked it so much I left it stock and sold off a couple of my other guitars. Two minor sucky things about it are the control knobs (this plastic/nickelly stuff is my least favorite kind) and the placement of the jack (would prefer it on the scratch-plate). I've been playing since 1979 - some short stints semi-professionally. I have a site where I sell some javascript for LogicProX (proceeds go almost 100% to GAS), other than that I am a regular dude with a paper-pushing job and way too little time to play guitar with three kids.

Every time I hear P90s I love 'em. Why haven't I got any? That Fallout sounds terrific.

I have P-Rails in my TE40 deluxe they are a P90-Single coil-Humbucker and have tripleshot in it to so I can have 4 different sounds out of each pickup but I tend to have it set to P-90 most of the time it's just something about the sound

MS-60 arrived today. First impressions: Build - 4/5 - frets nice. Back of neck not 100% smooth. Bridge really was a bit sucky but that was as expected. Only really light dive-bombs allowed. Might either switch it out or block it. Setup - again good enough. Action a tad high but not unplayable. Intonation perfect. Sound - pickups exceeded my expectation by miles and sound nice.
I liked the version someone posted above with the more mustang like mods - but I also appreciate the aesthetics of this as is stock so I am probably leaving it.
The finish was really closer to mint-green than white as someone already pointed out. Looks pretty cool. Overall a really cool guitar, I am still biased towards my other similar guitar but I'd gladly recommend this to anyone with small hands, on a budget. I had a EUR 25 voucher so it was a steal.
The plastic is coming off - I'm keeping it.

You are talking about the white one right not the red in the video above? Is it coincidence but I am totally in love with the sound of those pickups when listing over at Thomann (sound samples). I am looking to find where to buy these very same pickups. The neck is way too tiny for my fat fingers sadly so can go with this one. But I MUST have those pups so if anyone knows where to get them please share. Also show a pic or two of your new babe man or is she camera shy

Also can you make a photo of the bottom of the pickups to see if its a alnico or ceramic pup. Or you can just tell me of course if you know the difference That will also do. I just wonder what their output is (or what ever the measure is used for pickups strenght) so I can at least try to find another brand with same sepcs.

Thomann calls them WVSC Live vintage single coils. They are definitely Wilkinsons although the brand name is not printed on them. You should find them here: www.jhs.co.uk/wilkinson/index.html and if you're still not certain drop them a line or ask them on Facebook. They always seem to respond. I don't find the neck at all cramped and have no issue with the bridge either. Just recorded some demo ideas using solely this guitar and was surprised at the range of sounds I was able to achieve with just the three pickup options. Sorely need to mod it now to get the phase option too.

I haven't had a problem with either (once I actually lined up the vibrato where it was supposed to be rather than where China thought it belonged). The Tune-o-matic copy bridge feels really good on mine and certainly better than a Jazzmaster's temperamental contraption and I really love the delicate flutter that the vibrato allows. It's almost impossible not to play moody noir soundtracks with it...Watching the detectives.....

I meant the vibrato yea, although after noodling around more yesterday and doing minor tweaks I am less sceptical. It does have a cool unique feel to it. I'll just put some graphite in the nut and try some roller-Ts I have lying around. Other than that I'll just adjust the action for now. @ Che: I'll get some pics once there is five consec minutes of peace sometime next couple of days

I have found the pickups for much less in (can you believe it) Denmark for only 79 danish crowns which is dirt cheap for a Wilkinson pup and I get 30 days money back + warranty www.danguitar.dk/product/wilkinson-mwvsb-vintage-single-coil-pickup-bridge-643/

Update: Put .10's on. Roller T-s, graphite in nut, adjusted action and tightened trem spring a bit It's pretty amazing. It totally stays in tune, it's not a floyd obv but way better than any strat tremolo I've had.
Played it pretty much non-stop last couple of days. I am really happy with it. Anyone considering it should go ahead and take the plunge.
