Yes, it occurred to me you might have gone over there just to check something in response to what I wrote. I can shoulder the blame, and hopefully the praise when it arrives

Well my deco big tone arrived yesterday , it had a raised fret that was deadening the e string on the 12,13,&14 frets but a quick masking off and rubbing down with wet and dry then polish with wire wool and it’s perfect , I’m so impressed with it , the new HB decal actually looks good , I hate the old curcive one and come of never quite understand why they persisted with it for so long as it looked cheap and nasty . The big tone sounds great acoustically and electrically although I haven’t played it through my full rig as that’s packed up for a few gigs this weekend just through a 3 watt battery amp , I’m so glad I took the plunge and risked it , what a bargain , I have in the past 2 years gone from owning a Gibson n , USA fender and Gretsch to owning a te - 52 a old type v series 450 lp and a big tone , I have put in new pickups and electrics ( dimarzio twang kings and gretsch black tops ) and a dusenburg les trem and even though I always use mainly my homemade guitar for gigs ( lp junior double cut) this will be getting an outing in a few weeks when I’m positive it’s not going to break down

Would it be too much trouble for Thomann to explicity state the faults in the deko advertisements? It is such a leap of faith blindly buying guitars this way. Problem could be anything from a broken string to a broken neck. Maybe guitars with broken necks are discarded into the trash but there is still the risk that the the guitar will never be playable without major surgery. I accept that Thomann are selling these guitars for decoration only but it would be nice to know what the problems are before buying them. lilticus65 Hope it goes well for you! I don’t think they could sell a broken neck guitar as a deco as they You couldn’t hang it , my guess is that the deco guitars are ones that have slightly worse issues than b stock ones , it just shows you that Their quality control is excellent

Nice one. I see they still have at least one of the lefty decos in stock. Am I tempted?....perhaps It's possible that that complete first batch of guitars was defective in a consistent way.

To be honest I have never heard of anyone receiving a deko guitar with a broken neck but in the absence of headstock we could rotate it and fix a hook or something where the strap button is and hang it that way. Better still a one inch bolt straight through the middle of the guitar and into the wall if you don't mind your place looking like a hard rock café.
Congrats with your big tone deko. You did well to level that high fret. Always nice to see a happy ending

A broken neck would never make it out of the factory. What you are more likely to get is a broken truss-rod, a warped neck or even a neck glued in at the wrong angle - that's why it's much less risky to buy a bolt-on neck deco.

I would prefer to receive a deko guitar with a clean neck break than one with a neck that is warped or set incorrectly. Much easier to repair I think.

Perhaps....but my kid broke his bed last week after his older brother jumped on it and I still haven't been able to glue the slats so they are strong enough. But then I'm shyte at that type of diy! I guess it would have helped if I had collected all the splinters!
