Look at the distance from bridge to pickguard. Same as on your 12th fret guitar.

Hm, reading Cedar vs Spruce tops and seems like cedar is more dynamic to both softer fingerstyle playing and also louder strumming. Im seriously considfering to get this Stanford Radiotone Studio 49G. Did anyone here ever played this Stanford brand? All info much appreciated as I will be buying me self an acoustic as soon I get my money tomorrow! EDIT; it has a fretboard made of Micarta

what about the CLD30SCM then? Solid cedar top and solid mahogany back and sides - an all solid guitar for €300 - there's a bstock available for €258 as well. Maybe you prefer the grand auditorium shape - I know easyrider wasn't a fan of this guitar but others have raved about it.
It's very tasteful looking as well and it has a 45mm nut and C shaped neck...
Cedar vs Spruce - I think cedar has a more open sound but doesn't open up further whereas spruce tends to open up the more it's played. Cedar is usually used for classical guitars isn't it?

Yeah, Dodger, you're right, this is the guitar suppose to be, but its not. It looks gorgeous (thats why I didn't send it back on time), is very comfortable to play and rings well with brand new strings, but for two weeks of using (D'Addarios getting dull-colored very quickly) it sounds dim and lost his sustain totally, these are the main and only problems. I have lots of HB-s to compare, you know it Dodger. I like little bit wider neck and it's very o.k. on this guitar. Solid wood even for 300 is not O.K. if it sounds worse than any plywood guitar. Or however is? I got recommendation of cedar top from my friend who is a owner of Takamine Garth Brooks.I 'm not a big fan of it either. I'm disappointed in cedar and I think we are very happy to own a CLD-41 rosewood.

As I mentioned before the Yamaha LL16 was a guitar I played in one shop and it blew me away. I read just now that their stock strings are Elixir Nano-web 12" light! One set into the basket to try it out no matter what guitar I get.

That Stanford looks like a similar spec to the Walden G540 I have. Solid Cedar topped, mahogany bodied grand auditorium - it's got a nitro satin finish and a (lovely dark) rosewood fretboard though. I'm not much of an acoustic aficionado but it's sounds nearly as nice as cheaper Martin that I tried and a lot better than a plywood dread that I have. But then take that with a big pinch of salt as I'm a bit of a basher when it comes to acoustics and I like to tune them DADGAD too.

I can't torture my self any more! Its impossible to get "my perfect" guitar for the money I have. It would need to be 48mm nut, modified C shape, Grand Auditorium (without that darn piezzo stick under the bridge saddle), Solid Sitka Spruce, Rosewood fretboard, Rosewood Body, Natural finish and a satin natural neck finish with a volute.
I took all this into consideration and tried to find a compromise leading me to ordering the HB CLD-41S WN! Today is Thursday and there is no post delivery on the weekend here and next Tuesday is a bank holiday here so if I dont get it Monday it will not arrive until Wednesday next week (I really hate the Dansih postal service called Post Nord)
Thank you all for chiming in on this with me! Now its a waiting game followed by my review once I get it! Lets hope for the best!

@chedapapa - I hope you get a gem like mine Easily the best guitar under €500 I have played. It has most of your wishlist and isn't a massive dreadnought - very comfortable for me both sitting and standing - I'm 5'9" and have average size hands I would guess and this guitar is the most comfortable I've played. Best of luck! The wait begins - checking emails and the Thomann website every hour or so...

So typical! Its a public holoday in Germany and Thomann is closed today That means I can forget tracking this as it will not arrive until Thursday next week!

Listening to the music samples on Thomann's website - and assuming they are representative - I liked the sound of this guitar the most. Be interested to hear what you think.

Milton I'm known for nitpicking but then again I could be too much of a perfectionist when it comes to Tone and Comfort. I think it has something to do being used to recording indoors rather than using open or large spaces in a live performance. Will give this guitar several reviews before I decide to keep it or return it. I have 14 days to dissect this Dread (up to 14 days free return, up to 30 days money back but buyer pays return).

I'm interested to hear what you think of it Che. So be sure and feedback once you've had a chance to play it for a few days.
