Hi Papache, You mentioned Bigsby and Aliexpress. Would you happen to know if one, or any, of their Chigsbys would fit a Vibramate? Or does anyone else know perhaps? I'm under the impression that the Chigsbys are made by different companies and you can't rely on the screw placements. I wanted a B5 and a Vibramate, so that I can swap it around various guitars.

I've only ever seen one Bigsby B5/B50 copy for sale (like the one below on my TE-70) and it definitely doesn't fit a Vibramate. It is not in Vibramate's interests to support Chinese rip-offs. You'd be better off looking for a second-hand B5 on eBay.

Unfortunately they don't seem to come around very often - if at all.

I just checked Ebay for used Bigsbys and there are a few but they cost the same as a new HB guitar! So it looks like I will have to without, unless the Chinese start making Vibramates as well!

Good work daveb . That looks much better and less hand-gashy. But what do they mean, they don't have the original screws for these pickups? From what we've seen that's the last thing anybody needs for these FLTs. Well, the mystery pickup screws arrived from Thomann today. And they're a perfect fit. Raised countersunk heads, as they should have been in the first place. So, anyone with dodgy pickup screws on their TE-90FLT, get onto Thomann for some replacements.

Oh, here's a photo of my newly modded TE-90FLT, All manufacturing faults fixed, and some shiny bits added. Plays like a dream now.

Wow, the finish looks clearer in this photo than I've seen in any previous ones anywhere. Almost looks just like natural wood. Is this a trick of the flash light or is it really so blonde? I was a bit dubious about the choice of pickguard colour but it looks a treat. Nice work. Do you need my delivery address? The photo is a fairly accurate reflection of the colour. No flash used, taken in daylight. Yeah, I wasn't sure of the pickguard choice either, it was an experiment I was half expecting to throw away . Looks OK now it's on the guitar, though.

There's a separate thread here, in the mods forum.Interesting you think I repainted it - I didn't. That's the way the guitar came. I'm beginning to wonder if I received some sort of early prototype. The neck pockets were unfinished, the body is a one-piece, it's very lightweight, and it has an unusual finish? Hmmm.

Very nice. The colour is definitely not standard. Mine was white. It was like it had been thin coated with whitewash then heavily lacquered. Nothing like yours. Looks really good that mate.
