I'd go for that MartinB. Wilkos may do the velcro cheap, some poundstore type shops sell hook & loop tape which is basically velco under another name.

Would you want to be raising the one end to ramp it and to make space for a power supply underneath MartinB? I had a premade one once that was still too low to hold a power brick. That was very annoying!

blindwilly3fingers cheap is always good @defjef I was hoping that the duckboard would be big enough for my pedals and PSU, simply because my DIY skills are so bad I don't think I could attach another piece to make it like a ramp. The Shed is still up in the air, I could make a request to use the shed, but there's no guarantee there would be anyone there to supervise me!

Thinking about getting one of these or something similar Duck Board
Sharing a couple of thoughts MartinBWe've got one those (same design and made of bamboo) in our guest/second bathroom. They're big. More importantly, they're heavy. And, you'd really always want to be wearing shoes (foot protection) of some sort when using pedals mounted on one. It really hurts when you stub bare toes against its rectangular edges and or sharp corners. Bleeding or torn out toenail at the quick level 'hurt'. A proprietary pedalboard from the likes of Joyo or that popular if ridiculously overpriced everywhere but in America brand Pedaltrain, wont OTOH give grief even if they cost a penny more. That said, if you never intend to move it about and are happy to do the carpentry mods to address those issues (sander to bevel those sharp edges) and elevate it at an angle most pedalboards that size are for purpose, it'd otherwise do the job. And of course, you could reduce its footprint by cutting it in half if that's all that was required which would sort the heavy and mobility issue. A can or two of cheapie satin or matt black spray paint from an auto shop and some velcro would render it a pleasingly pro look. FWIW I'm a cheapskate always in search of reliability good design and quality at the best price, but I avoided do it myself projects in favour of this Joyo RDB2 Pedaltrain clone. A couple of years ago now, at the time I paid a little less for mine. AUD$79 (GBP£45) shipped as best I recall. Perfect. Been delighted with it. A month or so later I lucked a AUD$100 gift voucher being selected in their monthly best review promo running at the time, and bought this for it for a actual outlayed cost to me of around AUD$49 (GBP£28). At the time the RD1 was actually Joyo's premium case, and so a little dearer than now segmented against their subsequently released newer RD3. Info for your consideration. Cheers.

Velcro I think, in case I want to move them around easily. Not 100% on my pedal order. Velcro is the way to go. Buy a reputable brand which is quality adhesive backed, not the rubbish in Poundland type stores. Mine (Joyo) came supplied with some, but I bought additional from a reputable supplier I use regularly on AliExpress. 3M quality at Poundland prices.

The Shed is still up in the air, I could make a request to use the shed, but there's no guarantee there would be anyone there to supervise me! My thoughts again. If you aren't going to cut it in half to two smaller single row pedalboards where flat would be functionally acceptable, you will regret it if it's not elevated IME A simple enough job if you have the saws to make the angled cuts cleanly. But if not or you don't want to, buy something ready aluminium and light ready made with those features at the best possible price is where I'd go. I had the saws, but chose not to. That Joyo I pointed to in my previous post has a power brick mount built into it on its underside. Most of the ready mades in that style do. Some mount on top and inarguably it can be done, but untidy to my eye, and pray you don't put a foot wrong to inadvertently disconnect the small mains transformer input jack. Not really anything but an annoyance I suppose if not live performing.

Populated Joyo RDB2 for perspective. Amazon ordinarily UK sell them (Amazon shopfront for Joyo UK), but OOS at present as are Joyo UK themselves. Joyo UK Price is a bit ouch over there though I must say. Thomann have a couple of home brand which appear to be the same as Palmer rebranded, both of which are cheaper but quite functional alternatives. Thomann is no good from AU for single buy items, or in fact worthwhile buying from generally now given increased shipping rates with COVID, but might be good for you buying closer from the UK. All the best with whatever path you choose.

Looks like something went wrong with the photo, but it's good to hear someone had good results with a duck board

Right, here goes again.
I use a link to an image file type online and put that within img brackets in the messageboard. [ img] [ /img] without the spaces.

Let's see about this. I went to the link - zoomed in on the image using the magnifier - it became a jpeg - copied the image address into the INSERT IMAGE button and bingo.

Not sure the zooming part was necessary though. It wouldn't paste before but it does now!
Think it was a Google images file before. Now it's hosted at Imgur the image address works.
