Not terribly popular amps (lots of folks think the distortion is a tad shrill) but..... It's a Fender 2x10 inch all Tube amp with spring reverb tank for €152. Choice of nice surfy colours too. www.thomann.de/ie/fender_vaporizer_slate_blue.htmI am so close to pressing the trigger on one of these. (They are bigger than I want though...amp/guitar space is an ongoing issue in my house  ) Talk me out of it... |

It appears that they have gone up in price now by €30.... hmmm. Ryanair pricing strategy perhaps?
Not that I'm a cheapskate but my GAS is deflating.

Damn it saltee! I was hoping to buy the TE90 FLT this month and now you throw this one at me  Its back in stock on the 18th January (one day before me b-day) and Im now pondering whether to buy this Vaporizer or the TE90FLT  182 Eur for 2x10 tube is very cheap! I might go for the amp and try get the FLT later this year ... dunno ... |

If you order it at the €180 price do they have to honour the purchase?
In the review blurb at the bottom it says UK retail price is £375

OMG ! This amp sounds awesome on its own , I can only imagine how it will sounds when I place some OD in front of it  OMG! OMG! OMG! imagine TE-90's Filtertrons into this amp OMG! OMG! OMG! I hope the price stays this low! |

Well I'm still annoyed that they increased the price from €150 this morning - I've had it in my shopping cart all day. Then decided that I didn't need it until finally telling myself that at that price I could always sell it on for no loss (I mean when can you even find used working amps at that price).
€180 is still a good price but now I'm annoyed - that's a 20% price increase in one day.
I agree though there are plenty demo videos where it sounds really nice.

Oh and it was never in stock. The 18th Jan was always the date expected. I'm assuming that Fender is clearing out a last batch from China of these amps - which were a limited edition discontinued a couple of years ago.

There is only one Vaporizer in the Danish DBA (like local eBay) and he asks 230 Eur  Im so gonna get the one from Thomann as soon me cash comes in (hope soon) |

@defjef after reading that thread I've gone totally cold turkey and will likely go for the TE-90FLT instead. Im no god of mod and and all those bias mods and capacitors and what not they did on that forum is just beyond me!

I read that thread earlier as well and it did give me pause...but only briefly.. because...if you search TGP you will find modders and mods for every Fender amp there is. I'd take it with a pinch of salt. Some tube amp tone chasers are never happy. I know people with amps that cost 4 figures and they talk about replacing speakers and rolling tubes etc. etc. all the time.
