There is a LAB 5 100 Watt amp for 2nd hand sale and is about 240 Euros. Should I maybe go with that one instead?! The lad doesnt want less than that!

One of those old Gibson Solid State amps? They are well regarded alright but rare. You'll need to try it out to be sure it suits you.

Wasn't it Moog who made those ? Moog Lab Series L5 ? Or am I wrong? The guy serviced the amp recently so it should be top notch!

There is another version for about the same money and is the L7 with 4x10" speakers! Am I closer to Bassman sound with 4x10" or 2x12" ? Problem is they are all far away from me so will need to decide which one Im getting if I decide to get the Lab Series instead of the Bugera V55

Yes designed by Robert Moog for Gibson. Don't buy one which hasn't been serviced. Those are probably old amps (late 70's early 80s) and power capacitors could be close to end of life.

I often get an increasing interference kind of noise. A cross between a rumble and a fizz.
