I will have some money this month and next and thats about it because our baby will need each extra penny we have (and we dont have much). I still need lots of pedals to be happy and they all cost money even if from Aliexpress so instead I will get the NUX MG-200 modeling processor thanks to the you tube reviews of the NUX AMP FORCE (by intheblues) and other demos of the actual MG-200. It seems to my ear that this TASC (true simulation of analog of circuit) is very good at emulating amps and other FX. Its build like a tank, all metal, and even has cabinet simulations and 70 sec Looper. Will review it once I get it next month www.nuxefx.com/product_detail.php?id=84&id1=40&id2=0Here is the manual; www.nuxefx.com/Manual/MG-200%20Manual%20EN%20V1.pdfimagesIt has an USB (very similar to ZOOM ) uploading pictures

This review is about the NUX AMP Force which is based on the same technology and is made the same year as the modeler above so I assume its of the same sound quality

I might be changing my mind on this one Im looking at some analogue pedals instead ... Im sure the MG-200 sounds great into the headphones or into DAW but not sure if it sounds well into an amp. My Digitech RP70 sounds great in headphones but not so into the amplifier. I wish Thomann sells these so I can return them in case I dont like it

My Kustom amp has too much Bass thats for sure so I keep that bugger low and Mids and High at Noon. My Digitech RP70 sounds horrible with my amp, I mean really 2 dimensional, argh But does sound awesome when played into mu headphones or DAW. I think this MG-200 is made to go onto the pedal board with other pedals (my Digitech sounded terrible with other pedals), its bypass is more analogue I think whether the Digitech is pure digital machine. Will tell you what I think about it once I get it. I am more into it for the DAW recording and if Im to travel somewhere to bring it with my guitar and play into the headphones. This box should be of the same quality as the Zoom or Boss (look at some of their earlier models like the MG-10)

Also you don't have to use any of the amp or cab settings if in the chain with other pedals. You simply use only the Reverb or the noise gate or just the delay. This is not so on the Digitech RP70 I have and hence it would color the sound too much.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Out of interest the two guitar parts that you recorded for Spring were not done with the Digitech were they? I think I remember you saying they were just miked with the amp at low volume. I felt as though I could hear a stereo effect, particularly on the main riff. It sounded really big. Just goes to show that in recording situations big noisy amps are not at all necessary. Another reason to ignore the '50watts-at-least-of-pure-tube-amp-power-is-the-only-way' brigade.

I have Zoom multi effects pedal that I absolutely flippin' loathe through any amp I've used it with. It's a fiddly, counter intuitive git of a box with a whole host of untempting sounds. I've never tried it direct into a DAW because it was invented before home PCs had been dreamt of. Perhaps I'll give it one last chance using it that way before offering it up on ebay as a 'rare and difficult to find vintage pedal as used by John Frusciante'.

Most of us still look down on the Chinese brands even we HB lovers I have changed that view after buying the 4 NUX pedals I have now. I used a cheap Chord mic on a cheap Kustom SS amp and played the guitar through first; NUX Drive Core, NUX AMP SIM (analogue, so more like a voicing knob on amps), NUX Chorus and NUX Time Core (tape delay). The stereo fx is from Reaper DAW. You basically got the finished product maybe needed some EQing and cut and paste which you did great! You would be amazed at how low volumes I recorded that stuff, you could easily talk over it and hence hearing the acoustic sound of the guitar picked up by the mike. Love playing such rich tones without my wife EVER mentioning to lower the amp.
