Ok lads I am buying a new HB electric guitar TONIGHT! As some of you already know I tried to buy 3 HB acoustic guitars and each one was poorly assembled so I returned each and every one back to Thomann. For each acoustic I've got the refund and would decide to add more money for a bit more expensive HB acoustic and after 3 times getting the money back I ended up with nice savings so now im adding again a bit more money and will go for an electric instead because I just cant see my self give more than 150 euros for a HB acoustic guitar , if Im to give more I rather go for a nice electric instead and put Carbon strings onto my classical acoustic guitar to get a bit more metaly sound instead of buying a steel string guitar (its for home use anyway). So, I thought lets play a game called "Guess which HB el-guitar will I buy tonight?" Post your guess beneath and I will reveal it once it arrives Thank you for participating! Ok Im off to place an order now ...

Thank you so much mate! will let you know what thomann will give me. BTW if you got a website you can try to be a thomann partner too and i will help you out with reward points if i buy something. Would be a shame to order something without giving the points to someone. Was that a hint that You used my link? The CST24? Its my guess...because you wanted the Les Paul GT p90...but they are currently gone! Am i right?!?!?!?!

"Would be a shame to order something without giving the points to someone"
Napple you should tell your girlfriend to make her own profile link and you can use hers. She can open it from a different IP address. I think you should use those points because you will be buying lots of HB gear now for reviews and all.

...As some of you already know I tried to buy 3 HB acoustic guitars and each one was poorly assembled so I returned each and every one back to Thomann... That's a real shame. I read your other thread where Thomann basically admitted that they had not re-checked your guitar before shipment as requested - so that one went back too? Personally, I've bought two acoustics from Thomann, and both are stunning. First one was a Santos Series C-40SCE classical ( which I reviewed here). And, a couple of days ago I received a beautiful Custom Line CLA-28VE (a very respectable copy of a Martin OM-28). Both guitars play and look great, and were received in perfect condition. Perhaps with HB acoustics, their more expensive models are sourced from a better factory? (My guitars were in the EUR 250-300 range - not expensive for a nice acoustic, but certainly among the highest price HB models)

Hi daveb, I think the same that high end HB guitars are of very good quality but I only wanted a cheap but playable acoustic just so I can sometimes fiddle with it to get some ideas which I would then transfer to the electric guitar. So for me I could not imagine to give more than 150 euros for an acoustic to do what I just mentioned I mean I payed 149 euros for my lovely HB L-450Plus and man that is a very fine guitar so if Im to give more than 150 euro I will rather get another good HB electric which I did last night. I like my classical Cataluña 4/4 guitar but the nylon strings just sound too plastic-key and apparently this can be remedied with the new carbon strings for classical guitars. I ordered those too and will see how that sounds. By the way Lads of the HB Club Thomann had sent the guitar today so it should be here on Wednesday you still have time to join my game here! Try and guess what guitar did Che buy last night? Its over 150 euros, to help you a bit

I'll guess at the CST-24T Paradise Flame, or maybe a TE-90QM. My reasoning is that they are ones I would have got if I had just over 150 euros to spend My budget was a bit lower, I had around £50 to spend plus £30 of Thomann Vouchers (it was from my wife and kids for fathers day). My one is also due on Wednesday I was going to say what it is, but in the spirit of things I'll post it on Wednesday

Ah well.. my wait is over, my Harley Benton EX-76 BK Classic Series arrived today and is going to need to be sent back tomorrow The guitar wood/finish/frets etc.. are all fine, in most cases very good. The problem in this case looks like bad quality control by Thomann. As soon as I opened the box I noticed a washer stuck to a pickup.. then I spotted a sheared-off/broken nut.. and then finally the switch those two item should have been on hanging off the guitar. The unfortunate part is you can see from the serious damage to the metal nut (the picture shows some of it), that this didn't happen in transit (the guitar and switch aren't damaged in anyway) so it must have been like this when it left Thomann. I did plan to just fix the issue with the switch, but decided to try the guitar plugged in, at least to hear it. And nothing.......... not a whisper I guess there must be some broken electrics or missed wires. I know I could take it apart and maybe see what is wrong, but I don't really want to void my warranty as this will likely need to be sent back. Overall it's just such a shame, without the switch/electrics issues I would be going crazy about this guitar (well worth £80.. if it worked that is). It's just clear that despite specifically requesting it when I made the order, nobody checked it before it was shipped, otherwise it would have been obvious within seconds that it wasn't in a fit state to be sent to a customer. Ah well.. it's maybe a sign that I don't need an explorer, this is my second one and the second fail I'll contact Thomann tomorrow and see what they can do, needless to say it's disappointing when the issues are that clear the guitar should never have been shipped.

Che I hope you went for the MR-65 WH. I've heard it described as ugly crazy talk ! But then I've heard folks say they won't buy guitars " Cause the Headstock is ugly " More crazy talk. Yep my hope is the 65 for no other reason than it looks a wee bit off unless there's a Ventures fan convention near you then you'll be tripping over them. Tough break on the Explorer Mike. Hope it gets replaced ASAP.

MR-65 is a Mosrite copy and is a lovely guitar by the way don't understand why people think its ugly. Sorry to hear about your bad guitar mate, I know how that feels trust me Just send it back and save that money and get a high end HB guitar instead
