Yeah, the Boss CS-3 is balls imo. I can't remember how I acquired mine, I suppose I must have bought it at some point, it's just that I have no recollection of it, it got traded in quite a while back.
The forcefield is adequate for my needs.
Re the booster being useless, yeah, iirc you can set it so that it isn't even an effect from the boost selection. I may be imagining that though.

I agree - those split knobs are a complete pain.
Re. the booster - I find clean + blues drive a nicer driven tone than the lead or crunch.
That said ..you should try the lead with the gain turned all the way to zero. It's a usable clean tone..with appropriate EQ.
The slow gear is my favourite effect...interested in hearing if you can use it to give you what you need.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

I read about a guy who was doing something similar just to get more clean headroom to play with but I tried it and didn't find it nice at all. I use the slow gear on my Boss ME-70 a little bit for some colouration. It certainly makes life easier than volume pedal or pinky swells.

BTW....you can open up tone studio without the computer being connected to the amp. For instance if you want to check out the settings on the effects or what not. Or if you can just have three mod effects in the 'booster' slot .

I may be imagining that though.I think you may. I only seemed to be able to select a range of overdrives, distortions and fuzzes. I also couldn't figure out how to rearrange move items in a chain. The chains were shown but I imagined I could drag and drop them but no go there.

Ah, that’s a shame. Iirc there are only 3 available chain selections. But I may have made that up too xD

Got it today! Tried it a bit and it certainly is a compressor rather than sustainer. It can sustain of course but not as much as my Dyna Comp. that 3 way toggle helps adjust low frequencies depending on pickups used.
Will test it some more before I give my final review.

Played some more tonight with this Comp and it's a keeper big time! When I engage it and play , I can't tell its on but as soon I disengage the Gears I certainly can tell its not there! It's adding sweetness to the tone. It sure will be my always on pedal! It's most obvious when playing dry amp without any other pedals or fx. It just sounds sweet! Still the original amp tone is there, just sweeter hard to explain.

This pedal rounded up my main tone! This is it! I have disconnected the Digitech RP225 processor from my pedal board. Im trying to get rid of any processors and use them only in certain recordings. My main tone is to be stomp boxes and my Bugera tube amp! I always lacked something and thanks to the CKK Gear as well as CKK Lunar Drive I now have my staple tone to die for! Its such a joy playing this tone!
Here is a short sample, first Dry and then with some Marine Reverb on Hall setting; ... BTW, miked with SM57 clone into Behringer UM 2 interface and into Reaper (nothing added, no EQ or anything else at all) bedroom level (my little boy sleeps at this time)

In this demo above one can hear some strange OD tone. Thats the 3rd clipping position on the CKK Lunar Drive which is called Asymmetrical (other two are Symmetrical and Silica of which Silica is the cleanest of them 3). I guess for this demo I should have used the Silica clipping mode to get a nicer cleaner clipping. Very happy with CKK so far. One gets lots for the money here!
Also to mention I have cranked the Sustain and Attack full on so to give you sense of how it can sound when cranked fully! Of course one can take down the sustain and attack for different tonal possibilities. The Mix knob was on half , 12 o'clock and EQ toggle was set on the boosted lower end (as you can tell Im sure) Guitar played was TE-70BP Ironstone pups Neck+Bridge in Series.

Great that the pedals are working out for you. Sounds like CKK really make well engineered stuff. And I love the sound of that Fender reverb pedal.
Are you still using the Bugera V5 or do you just use the V22 now? Are you running the reverb in the loop or through the front? I presume it's last in the chain if in front?

The V5 is collecting dust as it lacks soooooo much Low End. Will see to sell it or maybe get an extension cabinet for it with a 10" speaker. Reverb (last in chain) through the front as my FX Loop is In Series hence no way to Dry Kill the pedal (needs parallel fx loop).
