I have 3 HB guitars with Roswell pickups- single coil, humbucker, and P90s. The P90s on the CST are by far the best. The only problem was that when i got the action lowered to my liking the neck pickup was so high that it was actually touching the the strings. To get it low enough I had to take the springs underneath the pickup out. With the low E depressed at the 24th fret the spacing is 3 1/2 mm and 2 1/2 mm to the neck and bridge respectively.

I know that Ibanez devalues, but I think it's always worth more than a hb, am I wrong? Instead I'm seriously thinking back to the choice of sa260fm, in fact I don't like the body in okoume (poor mahogany) although not so if I could detect the differences. P. S. Your ibanez ssh in pos 5,4,3 is totally different to fender stratocaster? Re-sale value must be evaluated in relative terms to make sense and Harley Benton, in Germany, sell to a higher percentage of their new price than Ibanez because that price is so low. See an analysis of this here showing an average resale of 61%. The same goes for cheap Squier. They always end up selling for more than 60%. This might change with the Fusion models, though, since their new price is higher. I have seen Ibanez SA 160 or 260 go for as little as 150 to 170€ on German ebay, worse when no shipping was offered I wouldn't worry about unusual wood. These guys know what they are doing. The positions on my SSH SA are the same as on a Strat' that would have a coil split switch for the humbucker. More recent SA models have no such switch but always split the bridge in position 2.

You have to look for sold items. I saw a Lavender SA260 go for 125€ right after I bought mine for 190. I felt cheated (the actual word was "stupid"), but then I still preferred mine, so…

Probably there was some problems, when price is to loo! For example now there is a italiano vendor that have two auctions for the same guitar one at 299 and other at 329. Have two type Auction and normal but both with buy it now, In this case, being a professional seller, maybe it's just to have more possibilities, but when it's a private person and the asking price is out of the market it's better to be careful. Perhaps it may be that I don't know the market price, usually I see the opposite (not on ebay) trying to sell at a higher price Now I'm uncertain between sa260 (but i don't know vedor) (280/299) or Ltd te-200 (379) with Thomann advantage Possible to always be the same story Japan good bad China about ibanez sa260 of course For gibson/fender not alway is True except for the golden years but no idea about ibanez.

The difference in price in my case was simple. I liked the guitar and paid the seller's asking price while the other was a running auction with a start from nothing which ended poorly sometime in the middle of the week. I was inexperienced in buying guitars on ebay then, never thought I could get such prices. Now I know how to search for sold items first before I decide how much I spend.

Sin does not send to my country You could have asked. Most people don't care as long as you pay for the actual shipping costs. They just make an offer with the lowest shipping possible so it looks more attractive to the local market or maybe just because they can't be bothered finding out. It went for 141€ + 8,5€ shipping, which is simply ridiculous. This is 48% of the new price of the current equivalent, at 314€, and that's on a Saturday afternoon. Used Ibanez are the greatest bargain ever. After Schecter, maybe, which are tremendous guitars going for shameful prices on the 2nd hand market.

In Italy my Ibanez AS 103 it's quoted 350 Euro (i've spent more than 700-800 euro for it) but it's hard to sale for this price (maybe with 300 euro i can sell it). The HB Ja60 (priced 129 Euro) was sold in few days for 100 Euro. For the HB SC Custom I received several offers for 150 and 160 Euro ... but I want 170 Euro for a guitar that is priced new 199 Euro.

Yes, Harley Benton can have a surprisingly high re-sale value. And even if they didn't, you can't lose more than 129€ on a JA-60. 150€ for a SC-Custom was 75% - quite good already.

That for me it's good because i can take and upgrade eventually only the HB guitars (for example) that I really like without losing too much money ... So I can test different guitars and keep only what i really want and in the same time I can became more conscious about guitar market. I suppose too that the overall quality of guitars is increased in these last few years especially with guitars under the 500 Euro.

I suppose too that the overall quality of guitars is increased in these last few years especially with guitars under the 500 Euro. This seems to be the case, yes. I remember seeing Rob Chapman say some two years ago that his goal had been to produce good guitars at a lower price and his cheapest was about 500€. Of course, the quantities produced were nowhere near those of a Squier Standard and these were original designs, albeit heavily inspired from the classic shapes, but so are Harley Benton originals too and they are now coming with roasted maple and stainless steel for 400€. I understand the quality spread annoyances, tough. I don't like returning things until they come good even at no cost. It spoils the pleasure and leaves that constant suspicion that there might still be some flaw waiting to be discovered. But then I see something I really like and I order a B-stock I guess I am more aware of chances than risks, so I buy guitars with too many strings and wonky frets.
