I use Reaper DAW as its for free (download). Get a cheap audio interface and you good to go Downed it, installed it... and now I remember why I never delved deeper into DAWing, I hate the user interfaces of almost every audio editing program. There are way to many windows, icons and other things around that are (for me) utter illogical. I'm used to graphical and CAD applications.

I've felt the same the first time I've gone into it! But I focused on the main things just to get the recording done, raw and unprocessed. Later on I went on to seek for those EQ options, comps, stereo upbeats etc ... Indeed youtube tutorial did help me get started with Reaper, just basic recording and first set up. Here is a short one;

Space is relative. Lot's of basses in a limited space. This picture was a experiment with a extreme wide angle lens, just to see if I could make a acceptable picture with all the distortion going on, not a bad result I think.

Got an confirmation e-mail that Thomann received the bass. And received the confirmation they shipped me a new one. They also sent me an e-mail stating there was nothing wrong with the original bass! Idiots! My ass! it was broken! So here is the reply I sent them on this BS. Lets wait and see if they want to blame me some more! Thomann never reacted on my response but I spotted this B-stock a few days ago, if it's the one I sent back I pity whoever is buying it, it will be a lemon!

Maybe we should keep buying it and returning it with the same report, see how long it takes them to fire the tech

Very nice. I have drooled over them for years.
I am very interested in what the new Thinline is like as my only gripe with ABGs is comfort while playing seated. However, the Thinline is part of the RB line.

New toy! BTW, I see that you have installed the Blablas patented thumb rest, doesn't the Alien come with the rosewood (or some wood) thumb rest bar type thingy? Or did you remove it?

The Alien Thinline and the Warwick Alien come with this wooden thumb rest, mine is the Rockbass Alien Standard version and these come without a thumb rest. The Rockbass Alien Deluxe also has no thumb rest. Source: Warwick.
