The shipment is ready but they are still waiting for DHL to pick it up There is no way I can get it this week because Danish Post does not hand over packages on Saturdays (if living in the country side that is). My best guess is Monday ... darn it!

I dont want to jinx it but so far I can not fault it in any way ... well, maybe some Its a very light guitar, so light I though it must be around 3kg but the scale showed 3,5kg which still is very good indeed! My ST-62MN is 3,7kg and feels a bit heavy but still within my preferred range! Even though thomann states 42mm nut the spring spacing feels wider than on the ST-62 which is perfect for chords where all fingers need their space! The nut is plastic but the worst type there is (I have seen that plastic on my white ST-20 which I reliced then sold it). It could be cut better ... it sure works well for now but bone nut will take its place soon. The neck feels great. Its certainly not as thick as the TE52 and is a bit thicker than the ST-62 but not much. Tuners as per usual work ok but coud be better ... time will tell. Bridge seems fine with these compensated saddles! Also looks great! One can choose to use the through body or even back load it! The ferules at the back are in perfect line which was not the case with my ex-TE52. The body-neck contact is 100% PERFECT Frets are polished and so far seem without buzz. The fret ends are just cut and not rounded. My ST-62 had non-polished frets but rounded ends Life is always packed with irony Action was on 2mm and works great with the 10" D'addarios which this time were not corroded but felt dirty ... I could not easily slide my fingers easily. Will likely change them as soon I fully decide to keep this axe. The bridge-body-pickups-strings-neck-neck dots-nut is ALL in PERFECT line! Fantastic! All the electrics work as they should. The Roswell pickups are ... hm ... dunno yet but they sure are sounding better than the Filtertrons or the ST style single coils. Still missing clarity of the Ironstone Silvers I have and which I like! These pups will likely be swapped with some Tonerider or Ironstone pups at some stage and Im so into modding this axe so to have a 4 or 5 way Tele configuration (all the in series, parallel etc ... ). BTW, these Roswells are NOT microphonic as was the case with the previous Wilkinson pups! The body finish is sublime on this one! I could not find a single blemish in the paint job! The input jack also feels solid and is metal of course. The strap pins will need a longer screw as per usual. Those original short and way too thin screws are not meant for WOOD! This I can fix in me workshop! All in all sounds OK and most importantly feels great in my hands! GREAT modding platform this one is and it just looks awesome! To add; I am yet to look inside of it! Will update once I know more!

Glad you're getting my tele bug. Showed it to my 15 year old son and he loves the look of it. I wonder if you'll grow to really enjoy that neck pup on a clean setting. I can't get enough of them. Only use the bridge when in a full band when it does cut through. Middle is always nice and handy for an acoustic guitar substitute. I wonder what I’m missing having chose to go for a neck humbucker on my DIY tele

Was playing this TE-70 since yesterday and then today I plugged in my ST-62MN with Ironstone Silver pups and smile was back on me face again Conclusion; the TE Roswells lack dynamics and are more in the mid range lacking treble and bass, they sound kind of flat, life-less like. Im most certainly upgrading this axe with better pickups! Im looking at the Ironstone TE pups because I have positive experience with their products! Great pups for little money!

Nothing to do with that defjef. The pickups lack balance between Highs, mids and lows. No matter what I do with the amp and pedal EQ it still is the same. Same is with the Roswell ST pups and my old China chepo pups! Not so with the Ironstone Silvers!
Im am a firm believer that pickups make a HUGE difference! I need clear definition, dynamics and fine balance between the Lows and Highs. Decision made; I will get the Ironstone TE pups once I have money again!

I felt the same about the Roswell's in my TE-70 RW. They sounded quite narrow to me and not as airy as my strat. I've replaced them with Tonerider hot classics and yes these pickups are better and handle gain really well but the difference wasn't night and day. I was quite surprised but this was my first Tele style guitar and having played around alot with amp/pedal settings and switching between guitars I've realised that this is how a Tele is supposed to sound. It's really punchy both in the bridge and neck position and the tone knob is really useful for evening out the bridge pup (I like alot of treble there if I need it).
