Tbh as soon as its delivered you are anxious to find its OK and undamaged. I would have felt gutted opening that box and finding the broken glass.

I never dream (like in real sleep dream) about amps or such stuff, but I did have a dream about this Sweet Baby couple of days before it arrived and man, I was so enjoying that tone in my dream, ripping the heck out if it I was , and then came the delivery day p.s. Im serious about dreaming about it! ... ... and about the delivery day too!

And of course I can get away with a few little ones rather than a full 100 watt stack. You have to keep the Mrs sweet. 😁

Yeah I get what your saying, I must just have a thing for small amps. There a 2nd hand subzero 5watt amp for sale about 50 miles from me £60. I am tempted but do I really need it and is it any good? I've seen reviews and they are supposed to be OK.

Dunno, for me its important they dont hiss too much and the rest can be tweaked. Or you can just get a Katana and have all the world's tube amps in one box instead , so no more temptation

Great, same price as the V22 but a bit smaller with different rear features. I think it'll be nice if that Infinium feature doesn't stuff it up. Weirdly, it seems to be marketed towards more heavy riffers yet I read that it still isn't particularly gainy. And taht may be a good thing. I'm very interested in how good that clean channel is too as it seems to have some sort of dedicated tone control. Hope you like it. It's in my basket too. If you don't I'll also wonder why. Fingers and toes crossed...ow .

I hope that 3-band EQ can also be used on the Clean channel! W T F !? So the Clean ch. only gets the Tone Knob??? In that case I might try and find a Cleanest setting on the Gain channel and use that one!
Yes, after reading from folks saying that this amp isnöt as hi-gainy and listenign to Josh Smith using his pedal baord into it , well, Im a single coil lad so this will make me happy if its like this

But you don't mind showing @defjef your different knob positions! Seriously I hope this one arrives intact and fully working. Look forward to hearing your review on it. 👍

It was that clean playing video of Josh's that made me think the G20 may be very nice. Mind you, he's got so much reverb on, it tends to mask everything. I'm hoping that the tone knob on the clean channel is just some extra tweaker like a sort of presence thing. It's not at all clear.

Mind you, he's got so much reverb on, it tends to mask everything. I also use much Reverb Seems to me this amp is on the birght side , just like the V series and would need a speaker that has more lows and a bit less highs to balance this out. But, being toppy might just fit well in the MIX so, these maybe perfect as they are. I honestly have no idea what to think anymore ... I was like "let me give all my money into a proper amp" so I looked into VOX AC10C1 and figured out they come with some no name tubes with CHINA written on them and seems everyone immediatelly throws those out! WHAT!? For that money they surelly could place some brand we know!? Any way, at least Bugera uses either their own Bugera tubes or TAD tubes. Was also thinking Tweaker but honestly how much more am I getting with a Tweaker? They use knwn tubes at least but what extra do I get there? Those 6V6 might give me the chunky breakup which is not the nice more modern flute like lead tone we all seem to go after. Any other tube amp I could maybe afford in time is either Blues Jr or Pro Jr and these are not really amps Im after. I would like a Princeton or Deluxe Reverb but those amps cost like ... (faints, give him water, slap him a few times, shake him ... call 911 !!! ). Still think Bugera is THE BEST tube amp out there, for the money you can't beat it! That Infinium might simply be the Catode Biasing that Egnater Tweakers also have. It automatically biases tubes of different values and at same time "protects" the amp and makes the tube work more efficient, or somtn' like that Any way, need me the second tube amp and would be nice to get a second flavour also. G20 fits the bil but we will see what it give me once I get it

I totally feel the same way as you do. There's nothing else anywhere near the price bracket of Bugera for what they give you. I wouldn't worry so much about people chucking out tubes willy nilly. There's a whole clan of tube rollers who swear a tube can turn a plum into a peach. They're cousins to the ones who know they'll take nuts, tuners, trem blocks and pickups out before they've even played the guitar. They love it and enjoy it. It's a fun hobby for them and it pleases them.
However, I was reading a thread yesterday (all by people whom I don't know and have no reason to trust nor doubt) where some young chap had got caught up with this fever and worry and was asking for clear instructions as to which bottle would give him which tone. Of course he was bombarded with advice on just about every tube being better than every other one, with the best being, naturally, ones that you can't get any more.
It seemed to me there was one sane voice in this scrum who told him that, although there are some tonal and response differences between various tubes, it is very negligable and not something you can't adjust with slight amp tweaks. He bravely advised the fellah not to bother, as a speaker change would make a far more noticeable difference than any tube one would. After all, tubes are just made to be tubes, with vast discrepancies between each other from batch to batch. If there weren't they wouldn't need biasing and they'd all be able to be guaranteed for 5000 playing hours, whilst speakers are engineered to deal with sound in a number of very specific and deliberate ways.
I can't fault Bugera for their outwardly visible build quality. I have zero knowledge on whether a transformer is good, bad or indifferent, and I probably can't afford a brilliant one anyway. They are probably relying on that lack of knowledge to sell their gear. Maybe they use the heaviest cheapest particle board to disguise the fact that they use the lightest, cheapest components. My hunch says, 'trust Fender' but there are as many horror stories about Fender as anyone else below the £1500 bracket and I ain't in that bracket! Maybe once a Fender doesn't go kaputt within 6 months it will last a lifetime. Maybe the use of pcbs is a quick but weak way of doing things and they don't make things that last like my Champ for 25 years and counting any more within that price bracket. It's a lottery. And the downing of China as a reason for anything to be rubbish seems as xenophobic as it does jingoistic. If not downright racist. There will be hucksters everywhere. Heck, the term surely leaps from the pioneering age of North America. But I choose to give the benefit of the doubt to any business that wants to stay in business. Maybe more fool me.
