That's quite a thickness for the top too, nearly half the depth of the cavity.

That's quite a thickness for the top too, nearly half the depth of the cavity. I'll check my Aria out for that too! Surely the top carve needs to be pretty deep so that none of the maple cap is visible around the edge?

Here's the finish thickness of a recent Fender Classic Series 50 Strat MN FR (Fiesta Red, not Floyd Rose). Thomann are quite good at selling damaged or warped instruments on ebay. It makes me wonder how they select their "deko" product line.
