I have some Mesa Boogie amps, an old cheap Marshall combo, a Orange, a Blackstar and a Peavy, I think that's about it.

I own one (1) Amp. Marshall DSL 5 combo. It is perfect! 5W made for good sound at low level. That's what I need too. I still have my old first little amp but it's annoyingly buzzing at 100 Hz and I never dared open it. I suppose I would have to replace a capacitor in it and use it with my multi-effect. Its clean tone is nice enough. But I replaced it with a modelling Fender Mustang I V2 two years ago and won't look back. That's all I need for my hobby purposes. I also have a Fender Rumble 25 for bass which does sound better than anything I got from the Mustang, so I keep that too. Or should I ditch the Mustang and keep the multi effect and the bass amp for everything? It would actually make sense.

This thread makes no sense without self-gratifying pictures. Show your stuff, folks! I have a toneplant too.

I forgot to mention the two little guys: So there are two Amplugs and a VOX Stomplab. They are amplifiers. Damn, I have an amp collection! I never wanted one

Does your Blackstar hiss like a snake spacelord77? I miked mine yesterday to record and the hiss made it unusable. By coincidence, I used my Blackstar the other day(which I haven't used i na long time), and I noticed a quite loud white noise, I haven't notice before. And exactly as you described it, it stays the same, even when changing the knobs, volume, tone, etc strange..

I wrote to Blackstar about it hallon. They responded that it was a 'feature' of these amps. Nice to know it's working as intended! Yeah exactly! :/ Hmmm...

A park G10R from 1995-ish - SS not that different from a Marshall G15RCD but without the aux/cd in. epiphone valve junior head Version 3 VHT special 6 ultra head, heavily modded, some would say ruined. Two home built cabs with eminence legend 10216k speakers, for the above amps. Laney LA30C - acoustic amp HB-80R combo HH IC100 combo - working but needs servicing to be reliable. the HH belongs to my son, but it has been in the house for the past 15 years. I sometimes use it as a cab for the Valve heads.
The HB-80R belongs to him as well. Though he doesn't appear to want it back. It sounds better loud and clean but makes my ears hurt, not a home practice amp, though works quite well with the RP360XP into the clean channel at reasonable volumes.
There's an Ashdown Mag 300 head and 15" cab here, also on holiday from my other son who hasn't the room for it. His music room has become a nursery room.

I just bought another amp. This one's for playing at night. Or whenever I'm ashamed of myself. I don't like being tied through a long cable to something on the floor. A short cable to something portable (guitar, phone, laptop) is fine, so I buy things like this. Do I need a "bass amp" for this? No, I could use the amPlug acoustic which sounds very good but its old, non movable Jack doesn't fit into my Ibanez SR's and I couldn't find a simple Jack extension anywhere. I guess I could have made one… At least this thing has integrated rhythms to play along. maybe I'll use that.

I can see the advantage of using a vox ampplug, having occasionally used a multi-fx with headphones, not being tethered to the floor would be an advantage. I was wondering how well they fit guitars with recessed jacks, looking at the reviews I see they fit well with the rotating jacks. How good are the rotating jacks? Do they ho;d up well to lots of use? It may be a weak point. My youngest son's birthday soon, he might find the bass ampplug useful now that he has children, and I have his amps...

Mine has held up to some use. Not "a lot", though but it feels solid enough and maybe the trick is not to rotate it in closed position each time one is done using it, only when needed to fit elsewhere. It will fit into a Strat or an Ibanez. The older version with fixed Jack does not fit into all my Ibanez, running into the bridge of my S and SR. It fits into my Ibanez SA and SB. They are a true luxury compared to the much wider possibilities of a multi-effect, being fairly simple. You pay for size and portability.

How bassy is the bass? I know some small speakers can actually be surprisingly satisfying. I don't have it yet. It shouldn't matter much, I have an active bass boost on all my basses but one. I was actually surprised how much I like the sound of a bass through the Acoustic one (without the acoustic simulator on). A bass amp should not be anything special. Only a bass amp speaker and cabinet should.
